What Is Plexr?

Plexr is our go to treatment for the management of skin laxity, deep lines, scars and benign lesions.
Plexr differs from laser treatments in that it uses plasma, a small electrical discharge created by ionizing molecules in the air. This energy causes controlled micro-damage to the tissue, instantly contracting and removing loose skin. Results are seen immediately and will last for years. And unlike surgery, it will not leave a scar.
Plexr is an ideal procedure to soften the appearance of lip lines, deep wrinkles and stretch marks, or to remove moles and skin tags. Our favorite procedure is the Plexr Eye Lift for the treatment of hooded eyes and crow’s feet.

How Is It Done?

Preparation: The treatment area will be cleansed and a topical anesthetic applied to minimize discomfort during the procedure. Your therapist will mark the area to be treated and discuss expected results.
Procedure: As the Plexr pen is guided precisely along wrinkles and/or loose folds of skin you will feel a sensation of warmth as the plasma makes contact, similar to a pinprick. Your therapist will continually check in to make sure you are comfortable.
Post Treatment: Immediately following the treatment, you can expect redness, swelling and some discomfort for 5-7 days. We will send you home with aftercare products to facilitate healing and keep you comfortable. Small scabs will form and then fall off as the skin regenerates over the course of the week. Collagen remodeling will continue for several months, further improving the appearance of the skin. We recommend a series of 3 treatments done every 3-4 months, allowing the skin to regenerate completely between sessions.

Number Of Treatments

Up to 3 treatments are recommended for optimal results, depending on the degree of skin laxity. Treatments are usually spaced several months apart to allow for healing and optimal results.

Pain Associated

The procedure is generally well-tolerated with minimal discomfort. Patients may experience mild tingling, warmth, or a stinging sensation during the treatment. Topical anesthetics are used to enhance comfort.

Down Time & Side Effects

You can expect redness, swelling, and the formation of small scabs that naturally fall off as the skin heals over a period of approximately one week. There is a risk of temporary hyperpigmentation, prolonged healing or skin sensitivity, but no permanent scars.
