What Is LED?
LED (light emitting diode) is a non-invasive therapy that delivers blue, red and near-infrared light energy to the skin. It has a range of applications including skin rejuvenation, management of acne and rosacea, and pain relief.
The red and near infra-red light emitted from the device activates fibroblasts to boost collagen synthesis and increases circulation. The blue light kills acne causing bacteria.
We frequently recommend a series of LED treatments to complement our acne, rosacea and anti-aging treatment protocols. We also find LED helps to decrease downtime following microneedling, laser and Plexr treatments or to manage bruising from Botox and filler injections.
How Is It Done?
Preparation: The device is positioned close to the treatment area and protective goggles applied.
Procedure: As you lay under the device you will feel a warm sensation as the light penetrates your skin. The procedure takes only 30 minutes.
Post Treatment: There are no adverse effects from the light therapy
