How Is Laser Skin Resurfacing Done?
Preparation: The treatment area is cleansed, and a topical anesthetic is applied to minimize discomfort.
Procedure: As the laser passes over your skin, an ultrathin layer is removed along with any superficial imperfections. The lower layers of skin absorb heat from the laser that triggers collagen remodelling and tightening. There is very little discomfort thanks to the topical anesthetic. The procedure takes about 30 minutes, depending on the area being treated.
Post Treatments: You can expect redness, swelling and peeling of the skin over the following 3-5 days. We will recommend products to keep you comfortable. As your skin heals, new skin cells will replace the old, and you will notice significant improvement in texture and brightness. Collagen stimulation will continue for several months following the treatment, so your skin will continue to improve and glow.
