What Is Laser Hair Removal?
A laser device emits targeted light energy that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in hair follicles. This light converts to heat, which damages the follicles and inhibits future hair growth. The procedure only targets hair in the active growth phase (anagen), so multiple sessions are required because not all hair is in the same phase at the same time.
Although the target follicles are destroyed, the body can grow new follicles, which is why most people will need touch ups in the future. Hair regrowth and number of treatments needed depends upon your genetics and hormone levels. Laser hair removal will only work on dark hairs, not those that are blonde or turning gray.
How Is It Done?
Preparation: The treatment area will be shaved and cleansed, then a cooling gel is applied to protect the skin.
Procedure: As the laser is swept up and down the treatment area, you will feel a sensation like an elastic band snapping when it makes contact with a follicle. We use a cooling system to keep you comfortable.
Post Treatment: After a few days, the treated hairs will fall out. A few weeks later, you may notice new hair growth as dormant follicles begin to wake up. We recommend spacing treatments every 6-10 weeks to capture the follicles when they are in the growth phase.

Number Of Treatments
Typically, 6 to 8 treatments are required for optimal results, spaced 6 to 10 weeks apart. Multiple sessions are necessary because hair grows in different phases, and the laser only targets hair in the active growth phase (anagen).
Pain Associated
Laser hair removal may cause mild discomfort, often described as a snapping or tingling sensation. Many find it tolerable, and cooling systems or topical numbing creams are used to enhance comfort during the procedure.
Down Time & Side Effects
Downtime is minimal, with potential side effects including temporary redness, swelling, and mild irritation. These effects usually subside within a few hours to a few days. Some may experience temporary pigment changes or minor skin sensitivity.
